During the last few weeks there has been a concerted effort by certain Israel supporting groups to attack the possible nomination of Senator Chuck Hagel as the US defence Secretary nomination. The opposition has reached a point where some of the prominent Israel first supporters like outgoing Senator Joe Lieberman have come out openly to question this nomination. In each case the excuse used is that Chuck Hagel is too soft on Iran or not enough pro-Israel. This is ridiculous to even say than even think. Why is that Israeli interests have to come first over and above the interests of US ?
Here is that stupid excuse being raised by Joe Lieberman
Lieberman, who's retiring next week and would not vote on a Hagel nomination, cited Hagel's"very outlying votes" -- particularly wantingto establish communications with Iran -- as reason for raising questions for him.

President Obama is the chief of staff and just as any other US President has the right and authority to nominate whoever he feels as the right person to do the job. Unfortunately the Jewish Lobby in US has taken matters into its control beyond its jurisdictionby involving a foreign nation Israel to control who runs this country. This is not the first time we see this happening. Time and again Israeli sponsored groups like AIPAC are interfering in the internal affairs of our nation derailing or jeopardizing the interests of this country, USA, for the interests of Israel.
It is well known that like many other senators Chuck Hagel has been a soft core Israel supporter over the years. However recently he like any other sane minded person has openly questioned Israel's policies and has shown a dislike for Netanyahu and specifically his dumb policies. In addition Hagel has questioned the Israeli Lobby and their dumb activities in Washington on behalf of Israel over the past few years.
“The political reality is … that the Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people up here,” Hagel told former Mideast peace negotiator Aaron David Miller in a 2006 interview. “I have always argued against some of the dumb things they do because I don’t think it’s in the interest of Israel. I just don’t think it’s smart for Israel.”

Hagelalso said he didn’t think he had ever signed one of the letters the American Israel Public Affairs Committee regularly circulates to demonstrate support for Israel or tough stands against its enemies such as Iran. “I didn’t sign the letter because it was a stupid letter,” he said in the interview with Miller, referring to one such missive.
Hagel has also been blunt in dismissing those who think he’s not sufficiently supportive of Israel.
“I’m not an Israeli senator. I’m a United States senator,” the Nebraska Republican told Miller for his book “The Much Too Promised Land,” released in 2008.
“I support Israel, but my first interest is I take an oath of office to the Constitution of the United States, not to a president, not to a party, not to Israel. If I go run for Senate in Israel, I’ll do that,” the senator said.

Extremist Israel first groups have started to even label Chuck Hagel as an anti-semite. A typical trick used by these hate groups to label anyone who questions Israeli policies as jew haters. This is complete non sense.
It is, however, quite another thing to tag, brand, defame and distort his record. It is even worse to do what some, hiding behind the anonymity of "Concerned Jewish Leaders" or "The Pro-Israel Community," have done: labeling Hagelas Anti-Israeli, and then stepping it up, almost casually, as an Anti-Semite.

The real reason behind calling him antisemitic by these Extremists Israeli hate groups is that they really do not want a peaceful resolution of Palestine establishment of two state solution and are eager to throw out all Palestinians from their lands in favor of establishing more illegal Israeli settlements. Netanyahu is under the grips of such groups and has himself supported their policies implicitly by not acting to stop them and continued support of building new illegal settlements.
No wonder the usual suspects responded in the usual way. By calling Hagel an anti-Semite.
There are anti-Semites in the world. They should be reviled and resisted. Israel's Yad Vashem illustrates the horrific consequences when genuine anti-Semites gain political power

The rabid conservative pro-Israel lobby has already trained their attack dogs on Chuck Hagel’s rumored nomination for Defense. But the president actually has a chance to change policy toward Israel for the better with Hagel at the helm—if Obama doesn’t give up on him, that is. By Peter Beinart.

More recently, Hagel spoke at an Israel Policy Forum event in 2008 and talked extensively about Rabin, leadership, the chances and necessity of the "Two State" solution/model in very pro-Israeli terms. Actually, he sounded very much like John Kerry, who has been nominated by President Obama to be the next Secretary of State, and who the "Pro-Israel community" lauds and respects

The most important conclusion one can take from these recent incidences is that Israel has a severe grip on US policies through the illegal AIPAC like groups that interfere in our policies as a nation in favor of Extremist militant Israeli groups who want to keep continued war like situation in the middle east and milk the US forever to support their agenda of continued occupation.
We as a nation of Americans have to stand up against such influences by war monger group in Israel that has led to more long term insecurity of our nation both militarily and financially. Time has come to cut-off Israel from US support and institute America first policies for our nation.
