After months of campaign efforts the majority of Americans have elected Barack Obama back to the office of Presidency for another four years.
The Israeli right wing government have been against Barack Obama's election and supported Mitt Romney have been considerably disappointed. They tried their best by supporting Mitt Romney with negative ad campaigns against Obama.
The usual birther issues and Obama's record on health care proposals for all Americans was used again to malign his position. But the people in the US understood well the negative schemes of right wing Israeli government headed by Netanyahu and rejected Mitt Romney.
Meantime Mitt Romney used his best tactic of falling in the lap of Israeli right wingers and put himself at their mercy expecting that a blind support of Israel will get him a quick and dirty victory.
Not once during his campaign did Mitt Romney criticize Israel's oppressive occupation and ethnic cleansing policies of Israeli right wing that continues to build illegal settlements in occupied Palestinian land.
Mitt Romney also tacitly agreed with the Israeli plan to attack Iran on behalf of Israel as soon as he comes to power. This would have started another major war in middle-east draining US forces and tax payer money.
All these acts of cheapness of embracing the Israeli right wing by Mitt Romney eventually led him to his defeat.
The response of Israeli right wing extremists to the loss of Mitt Romney in US elections was as usual dismal and shameful at best.
As soon as the Israeli right wingers found out that Obama was leading and will be elected, they announced the building of another 1200 illegal settlements in occupied Palestinian lands.
They illegal activity by Israel has been criticised by majority of world and Obama with his administration has also criticized this policy.
Mere criticism has not moved the right wing militant government of Israel and it continues with its illegal activity of exploitation of Palestinian land and resources.
Barack Obama and his administration have a second chance now to show practically that they are serious about stopping Israel from this continuing illegal policy.
US government should support Palestinian efforts at the UN to become an upgraded member of the world bodies and be able to challenge continued Israeli policies of illegal settlements building.
In addition to just a lip service to this issue of continued building of illegal settlements, US and the world must put continued economic/trade and military sanctions of Israel to send a strong hard message to get serious about ameaningfulpeace process that puts condition on Israel to revert to pre-67 lines of demarcations and return of rights of Palestinian people to form a viable state.
Only then can a meaningful security discussion not only for Israel but for people of Palestine can be implemented.
As long as Israel continues with its unabated policy of building illegal settlements there will be no security for Israel while the security and rights of a major part of Palestinian people living under its occupation are not also guaranteed.
